THE VICTOR HUGO COLLECTION
FIGARET X ÉDITIONS GALLIMARD
For the 2026 literary season, Figaret unveils the third chapter of its collaboration with Éditions Gallimard.
Inspired by Victor Hugo, one of the greatest figures of French Romanticism, this limited edition features two embroidered unisex shirts: the Victor and the Hugo.
Drawn from Les Contemplations, Victor Hugo's landmark collection of poems published in 1856 and now part of the Gallimard Poésie collection, the embroidered verse reads: « Aimons toujours ! Aimons encore ! » ("Let us always love! Let us love again!").
The opening line and title of one of the collection's 158 poems, this timeless declaration is delicately embroidered onto each shirt. A celebration of love as a force for unity, tolerance and hope, it echoes Victor Hugo's enduring humanist vision, carrying a message that transcends time and generations.
With this new embroidered verse, Figaret continues its exploration of literature and words of love, celebrating the enduring power of great texts and the universal values they convey.
LET US ALWAYS LOVE! LET US LOVE AGAIN!
UNISEX SHIRT
VICTOR
Designed as a contemporary interpretation of the romantic wardrobe, the Victor shirt is crafted from an airy blend of lyocell twill, cotton and linen in an off-white shade reminiscent of antique paper.
Its generous mandarin collar extends into a detachable lavallière, while the elongated shirttail, back pleats and buttoned cuffs lend the silhouette a theatrical elegance inspired by 19th-century dress.
"Let us always love! Let us love again!" is delicately embroidered tone on tone, offering a discreet signature to the piece.
Produced in a limited edition of 150 pieces.
Available in a limited edition, the Victor Hugo collection comes with a complimentary copy of Les Contemplations, published by Poésie/Gallimard, with the purchase of a Victor or Hugo shirt, while stocks last.
UNISEX SHIRT

Clean, timeless and understated, this embroidered shirt brings together literature, emotion and craftsmanship in a subtle tribute to one of France's greatest writers.
