THE JAPANESE EDIT

While waiting for Spring, it's in the land of the Rising Sun that exceptional Japanese fabrics have been selected to compose a singular unisex collection.

Seven styles crafted from sturdy selvedge denim, durable ripstop, and high-quality poplin, featuring unique checkered and mottled patterns. These special fabrics give a distinctive visual identity and durable properties that attest of our commitment to designing long-lasting pieces.

Denim selvedge is a Japanese fabric with finished edges reinforced by a colored lining. Its tight and dense weave provides superior resistance to shocks and abrasions.

Ripstop fabric is particularly resistant thanks to its grid structure, which limits the appearance of tears.

    REFINED DISHES

    NOËLLE BOUAYAD

Founder of the ILOLI restaurant in Casablanca

As a passionate connoisseur of culinary arts, Noëlle recommends two iconic and complementary institutions.

At the counter of L'Abysse, Chef Yannick Alléno's two-star restaurant at Pavillon Ledoyen, sushi master Yasunari Okazaki introduces guests to his delectable artistry, animated by mesmerizing gestures. On the menu that day, binchotan-cooked langoustines and freshly prepared tuna nigiri promise a taste experience.

Meanwhile, at Sanjo, guests enjoy traditional ramen in a minimalist and welcoming atmosphere. Prepared with meticulous care, this Japanese classic is served toripota style—featuring noodles, chashu pork, onions, nori seaweed, and a marinated egg in a delightful chicken soup.

    THE ART OF TEA

    ALICE BUREAU

Curator of teas for her shop Conservatoire des Hémisphères

An epicurean aesthete, Alice welcomes us into the cozy ambiance of her pharmacy, opened three years ago at 96 Rue du Bac, with a single obsession: the art of tea.

Her selection, limited in quantity but rich in emotion, is meticulously sourced from across the hemispheres. From grand cru teas to everyday blends and morning infusions, each flavor is chosen to accompany a moment in life.

Her favorite Japanese teas include Gyokuro, the most prestigious Japanese green tea used for ceremonies, Hojicha, prized for its expertly crafted charcoal roasting, and Genmaïcha, whose history alone holds the secret of its toasted rice notes.

    CURATED OBJECTS

    NATHALIE AGEMATSU

Creator of the Shopu concept store

Of French-Japanese origin, Nathalie Agematsu celebrates Japanese craftsmanship at her Shopu concept store, recently established at 36 Rue de Varenne.

Passionate about art and design, she curates a refined selection of Japanese objects: vibrant daruma dolls, coated canvas handbags, Kamawanu fabrics for furoshiki (Japanese zero-waste gift wrapping), among other delicate treasures. Upstairs, creative workshops and hands-on activities immerse visitors in Japanese culture.

As a discerning connoisseur of the finest Japanese addresses in Paris, Nathalie recommends the poetic 'mini' bouquets from her neighbor Tomoji Hakuno. He runs his shop, Ayoama Fleuriste, at 96 Rue du Bac, a brand born in Tokyo in 1989.
