THE ART OF THE CRAFT

At Figaret, craftsmanship lies at the heart of our story.

For nearly sixty years, we have cultivated and transmitted it alongside our long-standing partners, guided by rigor, shared curiosity, and a deep respect for work well done.

A shirt is an exercise in precision. At Figaret, it is defined by the exact number of stitches per centimeter, the choice of double-twist yarns, the selection of exceptional fabrics from renowned Italian mills such as Albini, Thomas Mason, Canclini and Borghi, and the mastery of both cut and finishing details.

Our expertise rests on this rigorous and comprehensive understanding of the shirt — considered down to its finest detail.

The signature steps

Since 1968, Figaret has upheld uncompromising standards and an unwavering attention to detail.

Designed to endure, our shirts are the expression of expert craftsmanship, perfected alongside our long-standing partners. Every stage matters: precise cutting, rigorous fusing, meticulous assembly, structured pressing.

These technical choices are deliberate. We defend and refine them season after season, ensuring our shirts are made to stand the test of time.

Well-considered technical choices.

  • The heat sealing

The collars and cuffs of our shirts combine multiple fusible interfacings with complementary levels of stiffness to ensure optimal support. They give the Figaret collar its distinctive structure and signature shape.

  • The collar Stiffeners

At Figaret, these structural elements are secured to a dedicated iron-on backing inside the collar, making them invisible and non-removable. They ensure a sharp, long-lasting hold for the collar points.

  • The seams

Our shirts are crafted using double-needle stitching, a technique that combines strength with precision. With 6.5 stitches per centimeter, each seam ensures a clean, durable, and impeccably finished result.

  • The ascolite

Our collar and cuff buttons are sewn using the Ascolite technique — both invisible and exceptionally strong. Unique to our Maison, this additional step enhances durability and ensures each button remains securely fastened over time.

The distinctive details

Since 1968, Figaret has championed an exacting vision of cut and detail.

Clean lines, precise drape, impeccable finishes — every gesture serves a refined and enduring elegance.

Among these aesthetic choices, certain signatures distinguish our shirts at first glance and define a timeless allure.

Unique aesthetic choices.

  • The pattern-making

All of our shirt patterns are developed in-house by our Studio, ensuring original cuts and complete mastery of our designs, whether formal or casual.

  • The label

Carefully stitched inside each shirt, the Figaret label attests to its authenticity and commitment to quality. It may be accompanied by additional tags indicating the nature of the fabric or yarn — “Double Twist,” “Japanese Fabric” — as well as the names of our esteemed partner mills, such as Albini, Thomas Mason, and Canclini.

  • The monogram

Placed on a capuchin tab sewn at the elbow, the “Double F” monogram embroidery — tone-on-tone or in colorful contrast — adds a subtle and personal signature to the shirt.

  • The stripes

The matching stripes showcase precise craftsmanship: on a needle table, each piece of striped fabric is aligned millimeter by millimeter to ensure perfect continuity and an impeccable finish.

  • The swallows

Small reinforcements sewn at the corners of the side seams, swallows prevent tears and reinforce the shirt. At Figaret, they are crafted in a triangular shape with carefully considered proportions, combining elegance with lasting durability.

  • THE INVISIBLE BUTTON

A signature Figaret detail, the button at the base of the collar features concealed stitching. Fixed before the collar is attached to the body, this construction reverses the standard industrial process and showcases true craftsmanship.

"SHIRTS ARE OUR CULTURE"

This is the Figaret promise, brought to life through long-standing partnerships.

THE FINEST FABRICS

At Figaret, fabric selection is paramount.

The majority of our shirts are made with double-twist yarns — softer, stronger, and denser threads that ensure a fabric of superior strength and quality.

We source our textiles from leading Italian mills, such as Albini, Thomas Mason, Canclini and Borghi, renowned for their exacting standards and textile expertise, to offer exceptional fabrics and shirts built to stand the test of time.
